Representative Cases
•  Mr. Zhang Tao has been engaged in anti-dumping and countervailing investigations at the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China(MOFCOM) for many years, and is deeply familiar with China's anti-dumping and countervailinginvestigation regulations. He has participated in the drafting and formulation of China's anti-dumping law and regulations, as well as the construction of China's anti-dumping investigation system (including the formation and improvement of anti-dumping questionnaires, the establishment of hearing and verification procedures, and the establishment of the dumping margin calculation system).
•  Mr. Zhang Tao has represented numerous foreign companies as well as their downstream enterprises in China to respond the anti-dumping investigations initiated by the MOFCOM, including large international enterprises such as General Motors, LANXESS, Eurolin, and Nippon Steel, all of which have achieved good results;
•  Mr. Zhang Tao has represented Chinese domestic industries and enterprises in about hundredCVD and AD cases against China initiated by the United States, the European Union, Canada, Australia, and other countries. In over a quarter of these cases, Mr. Zhang Tao has successfully obtained the results of no injury or zero duty rate for the clients. In addition, he represented hundreds of Chinese enterprises for separate rate application, without any failure!
•  Mr. Zhang Tao has also represented the MOFCOM in over 30 cases of countervailing investigations and safeguard measures against Chinainitiated by the United States.
•  Mr. Zhang Tao has rich practical experience in dealing with 337 investigations of the United States. He has represented Chinese companies in more than 20 cases of 337 investigationsof the United States, which makes him to be the Chinese lawyer who has respondedthe most of 337 cases of the United States on behalf of Chinese companies. Being proficient in settlement negotiations for the 337 case, Mr. Zhang Tao has helped Chinese companies achieve favorable settlements in multiple cases, not only retaining and expanding market share for the company, but also saving a lot of cost budgets for the company.
•  Mr. Zhang Tao previously employed by the MOFCOM as a third party to participate in the dispute resolution on antidumping before WTO DSB.
